Cheatgrass

This nice droopy seeded grass is everywhere in Lafayette in the springtime. A cool season grass, it goes through its life cycle in the spring and will be dead and gone by summer. I'm calling it cheatgrass, it's one of the brome grasses, Bromus tectorum.
