This is hedge parsley, Torilis arvensis, a common plant in the Lafayette area. Torilis arvensis is a preferred plant for caterpillars of swallowtail butterflies. This Torilis arvensis is near North River Road and State St. in West Lafayette, behind Spurlock's. Picture taken June 13, 2010.
