A patch of daylily
Here's a patch of daylily (Hemerocallis fulva) coming up in Happy Hollow Park. These colonies of daylily are some of the first green things you see in the spring. Not a native plant, people plant them and often a part of the plant ends up in another place and takes root to form another colony. Once it starts it doesn't go away. Picture taken April 3, 2009.
